Speaking to the Jamaica observer, Kemar said he’s under ‘no pressure’ after becoming the ninth fastest Jamaican man ever over 100 metres when he ran a lifetime best 9.977 seconds at a Diamond League meeting in Brussels earlier this month.

‘I just feel good right now. It was good to end the season with a new personal best of 9.97 and I’m just looking forward to better things to come next year.’

The young sprint ace, who is in his first season as a senior, said:

‘I just feel good right now. It was good to end the season with a new personal best of 9.97 and I’m just looking forward to better things to come next year.’

Kemar became one of 12 Jamaicans to have run under 10 seconds, he also picked up a gold at the Olympics this summer for his part in the 4 x 100m relay team.

‘My first season on the circuit was good and the relay at the Olympics was a good experience. I just went there to do my part and take my gold.’
