Kemar Bailey-Cole won a World Championship Gold on Sunday as he ran the second leg of the 4x100m final for Jamaica.

The Jamaican relay team included Nesta Carter, Nickel Ashmeade and Usain Bolt, and recorded a time of 37.36 seconds in the final.

‘It was great to finish the World Championships with a gold medal for the relay. We were confident that if we all executed the race well we would finish first and that’s exactly what we did.’ Said Kemar reacting to the win.

‘I was happy to finish 4th in the 100m final last week but I want to be up amongst the medals so it was great to win gold in the relay team.’

‘In London I won Olympic gold in the relay. I’m happy to add this to the collection having run in the final.’

KBC is expected to compete in Berlin and Zurich in the coming weeks as he looks to cement a fantastic season so far.
